Hyderabad: `Andhra-Telangana Praja Samanvaya Committee’ president Tejawath on Sunday alleged that all political parties are to be blamed for neglecting the welfare of the people of the state in order to protect their self interests.
Talking to media persons at Progressive Media House, Hyderguda, Tejawath alleged that the political parties have now been relegated to protecting their self interests and pushing their stated agendas half-heartedly.
“Legislators from Telangana, who resigned for the cause of separate statehood, are not sincere towards the cause. They are only pushing their party agenda,” he alleged.
Tejawath further alleged that the elected representatives of the respective parties are working to try and water downing the agitation.
He also alleged that even Seemandhra leaders are also watering down their stated Samaikhya Andhra Pradesh agenda by joining hands with divisive forces.
The ATPSC chief urged all leaders from all the regions of the state to take the initiative and act responsibly to protect the interests of people and state.
He added that Praja Samanvaya Committee would organise a public meeting, `Medhomadhanam’ on July 17 in Hyderabad and a massive convention in Ongole on July 31. “I appeal to all leaders to participate in the Medhomadanam and express their feelings and protect the interests of people,” Tejawath said.(INN)
