The Left parities leaders headed by the CPI (M) State Secretary, Mr B V Raghavulu met the Chief Minister in the camp office and made an appeal in this regard.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr B V Raghavulu stated that the Government’s decision to hike the power tariff would cause Rs 631 crores additional burden on the people in the state. He strongly criticized the State Government for resorting to power tariff hike. He alleged that the Government has hiked the power tariff to protect the interest of private persons.

He also suspected that the Government was going ahead with the idea of privatization of Sub-Stations. The Government should withdraw such idea, if any, he added.

The leaders of CPI (ML-New Democracy) were also in the delegation that met the Chief Minister. (NSS)
