Hyderabad: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has cancelled the examination scheduled to be conducted on Sunday for recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAOs) in the wake of leakage of question paper much before scheduled time of the examination.

A Telugu new channel aired the news story saying the examination papers of the LIC Assistant Administrative Officer were out and showed the visuals as evidence. With the cancellation of the examination, the job aspirants were shocked and fell in a dilemma whether the examination would be as it is or not.

As the information of paper leak spread like wildfire and reached the LIC head office in New Delhi, the LIC, after examining the facts, announced the cancellation of the examination planned on Sunday.

The Cyber Crime Police of Delhi also took a person, Mr Pavan, who was found selling the question papers, into custody.

As the decision of the LIC to cancel the examination came late, the job aspirants reached the examination centers allocated to them to appear for the examination. Knowing the information of the LIC, the job aspirants returned to their homes. (NSS)
