Hyderabad: Angry relatives staged a dharna in front of the Kamineni Hospital at LB Nagar on Sunday after the doctors there declared a living man dead and even issued a ‘death certificate.’

The man died ‘again’ soon, leaving his relatives in a tizzy with extreme emotions of anguish, then happiness and then more anguish.

The man, identified as Hari, was declared dead by the doctors at the hospital after he was rushed there following a fall from an electricity pole at Bonala.

Hari, from Chilukanagar in Uppal area was checked by the doctors on duty at the hospital who declared him as ‘brought dead,’ and gave a certificate to this effect.

He however got up while being taken away by his grieving family and started to vomit. The grieving family members rushed Hari back to the hospital where he was shifted to the ICU.

An hour later, the doctors declared Hari to be dead again, this time while undergoing treatment in the ICU.

The inefficiency of the doctors, first in declaring him dead while he was alive and then failing to save his life left Hari’s relatives enraged. They resorted to a protest in front of the hospital.

They alleged that Hari died as the doctors had failed to administer proper treatment to him and were indirectly responsible for his death.

However, the situation was controlled with the intervention of LB Nagar and Uppal MLAs Sudhir Reddy and Rajireddy. The MLAs assured that the victims family will get due justice from the hospital for their negligence. (INN)
