Hyderabad, Feb.18 (NSS): Members, cutting across party lines, approached the Lok Satta Party Chief, Dr Jayaprakash Narayan, one by one in the State Assembly on Friday and conveyed their concern and anguish over the assault on him at the Media Point yesterday.
On noticing Mr Narayan seated in his chair in the House before the commencement of the session, the members belonging to the ruling party, including ministers and also those from the Opposition benches, went to his seat and conveyed their sympathies and support and described the incident as very unfortunate and undemocratic.
Among those who met the Lok Satta Party Chief were Ministers Mr Jana Reddy, Dr Geetha Reddy, Mr Sridhar Babu, Ms Galla Aruna, Mr Danam Nagender, the PRP Chief, Mr Chiranjeevi and all the women legislators including Ms Jayasudha. Dr Narayan was seen expressing his sincere thanks for their concern with folded hands. (NSS)
