Hyderabad: All the ministers reportedly remained cool to the request of the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to work together to clear the rumours that there were differences in the cabinet.
According to sources, the Chief Minister apprised the ministers at Tuesday’s cabinet meeting of the directions given by party high command on the functioning of the government and tackling the political situation in the State. The Centre was ready to extend required help to the State on the issues at utmost priority, he added. He also exuded confidence that Pranahitha-Chevella and Polavaram projects would be accorded national project status soon by the Centre.
Referring to the widespread conception that there were differences among the ministers and him, Mr Reddy said, “We should remove it and send signals that we are united by working together. If there were any differences of opinion were there, we should sit and sort out amicably”, he added.
Though the Chief Minister made a 30-minutes speech to cabinet members, they silently heard and did not responded either positively or negatively.
But, the Telangana ministers have insisted that the government should take further steps for deletion of 14(f) clause of the Presidential Order.
The ministers also complained to the Chief Minister on the problems of paddy procurement and government hospitals. The Chief Minister assured them that he would review and sort out the problems. (NSS)
