Hyderabad, Feb.8 (NSS): Demanding that the State government immediately order a CBI inquiry into the KG Basin gas deal, the Anantapur MLA, Mr Gurunatha Reddy, has alleged that then chief minister, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, and “Eenadu” Group Chairman, Mr Ramoji Rao, had received bribes to the tune of lakhs of crores of rupees from the Reliance Group. He said that he wrote a letter to the High Court on KG Basin Gas allotment scam on February 5.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Tuesday, Mr Gurunatha Reddy alleged that Mr Chandrababu Naidu had prevented the State government from participating in the tender process in 1999 after taking bribes from the Reliance Company even though Opposition leaders made a hue and cry.
Flaying the then Chandrababu Naidu government for failing to participate in the tender process, Mr Reddy said that the Gujarat government was earning crores of rupees now by participating in the tender process that time. Mr Chandrababu Naidu and Mr Ramoji Rao had received crores of rupees from the Reliance Company for staying away from participating in the tenders’ process. Issuing a CD to the media on the flow of money from Reliance to Mr Chandrababu Naidu and Mr Ramoji Rao, he said that according to his knowledge, Mr Ramoji Rao had received Rs 2,000 crores in this deal.
Declining to react on the corruption charges against the former MP from Kadapa, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said that Mr Jagan’s issue was already in the Court. (NSS)
