Hyderabad: Mahaa Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi has demanded the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy to take stern action against the minister for Small Scale Industries Dr Shankar Rao, who, they alleged, was interfering in the affairs of other departments and acting in an insulting manner towards the General manager of RR District Indstries Centre, Mr A V Patel, who happens to be a Madiga.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Mr S Devaiah Madiga, founder President, Mr Vishnu, MMRPS Greater Hyderabad President and others, alleged that the Minister was taking the lw into his own hands, ill-treating and insulting the officials, targeting one particular caste. If the official had committed any mistake, punishment could be meted out to him according to the Law and the rules; but the Minister taking the law into his own hands was not proper.

They stated that unless the Chief Minister intervened and took suitable action in this matter, the Government alone would be responsible for any consequences that might follow in future. (NSS)
