Hyderabad: The senior TDP leader and MLA, Mr Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, on Monday accused the party legislators, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Mr Hareeshwar Reddy, of being sold away to the YSR Congress Party chief and Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and working as his agents.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Narasimhulu alleged that Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy had accepted money from Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and misleading the party legislators of the region. He also alleged that Dr Nagam was backstabbing the party after enjoying power and pelf during the nine-year party rule in the State.
Making it clear that the party has no intention to initiate disciplinary action against Dr Janardhan Reddy, Mr Narasimhulu said the former was defying the party chief openly that could attract action against him. He also alleged that Dr Nagam was causing damage to the party for his selfish political gains.
Recalling that Dr Nagam had deceived the people of Telangana by joining hands with late Dr Marri Channa Reddy, Mr Narasimhulu said that the former was resorting to his old habit of making others scapegoats for his selfish political interests.
Mr Narasimhulu said that Telangana legislators of Telugu Desam party were ready for any sacrifice for the sake of Telangana State and they would not hesitate to resign from their posts en masse if the Congress MLAs do so. He also declared that the TDP legislators were prepared to join hands with their Congress counterparts in the struggle for separate State. Mr Narasimhulu said that they were also prepared to stage a dharna before the residence of the Congress president in order to exert pressure on Ms Sonia Gandhi. (NSS)
