Hyderabad: The MRPS on Tuesday threaded that it would not cooperate with the State Government and the Congress Party, if the Chief Minister fails to immediately lead an all party delegation to Delhi on SC classification.
A delegation of MRPS led by the State President, Prakash Madiga met the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the CM camp office and requested him to take the initiative in placing SC categorization bill in the monsoon session of the Parliament. They demanded the Chief Minister to fulfill is earlier assurance to lead all party delegation to New Delhi, to mount pressure on the Centre on SC classification. Otherwise, the Madigas would not cooperate to either the Congress or the State Government in the local body elections, they cautioned.
On the other hand, the Mala Mahanadu leaders also met the Chief Minister in the camp office and made it clear that they would not tolerate, if he takes any initiative on SC classification.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mala Mahanadu State President, Mr Karem Shivaji deplored that on the pretext of SC classification issue, the Government was giving top priority to Madigas in the opportunities at the cost of Malas. It was very unfortunate that the mess charge of each SC hostel student was Rs 16 per day, which was less than the mess charge of prisoners Rs 60 per day.
“We will launch an agitation, if the government tries to take up SC classification, not focusing on SC welfare”, he added.
