Hyderabad: The Marketing and Warehousing Minister, Mr Mukesh Goud, has said that it was wrong on the part of Congress leaders to threaten the party High Command with mass resignations. He also questioned whether it was proper to abide by the instructions of the TRS chief, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao, and the Telangana JAC convener, Prof. Kodandaram.
The minister said the Congress leaders could fight with the leadership for Telangana. But it was not proper to resign, he added. Replying to a question, he said that he would take a decision on his own resignation, after the Congress leadership announces its decision on Telangana. He opined that it was wrong to create an embarrassing situation to the party leadership. He felt that threatening to resign amounted to defying the party leadership. There was need for party men to abide by the suggestions and directions of the party leadership, he added.
Mr Mukesh Goud has also faulted Mr Chandrasekhara Rao going to the house of Panchayat Raj Minister, Mr K. Jana Reddy, and calling other Congress leaders for discussions. How are they doing justice to the Congress party on whose ticket they won the elections, he asked.
