Hyderabad: The Jamiat-ul-Mominath (women’s Islamic university) will be organizing a one-day State level conference of women at Mubeen Function Hall, Himmathpura (Qazipura) on July 24 from 9 am to 7 pm.
Speaking to mediapersons today, the Jamiatul Mominath Director, Dr Hafeez Mohd. Mastan Ali, said the aim of the Jamia was to eradicate illiteracy among girls of Muslim society. To guide the Muslim women, he said the Jamia was conducting weekly and monthly ijemaath in various parts of the State as well as other States. He said they would conduct training for women pertaining to their rights, role in parenting children, educational awareness and needless customs and expensive marriages.
Dr Hafeez Mohd. Mastan Ali said Ms Muftiya Shafatha Fathima of Bijapur of Karnataka, Prof. Rehana Sultana, Director of Women Studies, Moulana Azad Urdu University, Hyderabad, Ms Muftia Farhath Jaberi of Mumbai, Dr Muftia Rizwana Zareen, principal, Jamiatul Mominath, Ms Alima Rubani Begum of Manipur, Dr Nazima Aziz, Head of Mufti Jamiatul Mominath, Ms Muftia Tahmeena Tahseen, Ms Alhaja Ather Jafari of Bidar, Ms Alima Ruquayya Begum of Bihar, Ms Qariya Uzma Parveen of U.P and Ms Qariya Farheen Begum of Orissa would attend the seminar.
He said the Jamiatul Mominath would also announce formation of Fiqhi Ijtehadi Council for women based on 70 women Islamic scholars (Muftias) which is headed by Hazrath Allama Mufti Mohammed Hasnuddin, Head Mufti, Jamiatul Mominath, Moghalpura and convener of the council Dr Muftia Nazima Aziz. The aim of the council formation was to find solutions to day-to-day new Sharai problems faced by Muslim women of the world in the light of Quran and Hadees, he said.
