Hyderabad: The TDP MLA, Mr Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao, has said that the meeting organized by his colleague, Dr Nagam Janardana Reddy, at Nagarkurnool on Telangana has the approval of the party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Talking to the media here on Monday, Mr Yerrabelli said that Dr Nagam was a party leader and they were all working not only for strengthening the party, but also for the cause of Telangana. He has denied that there were any differences in the party on Telangana. He said that all the Telangana leaders of the party were unitedly fighting for the separate State. He said that he would be meeting Mr Chandrababu Naidu in two or three days to request for the appointment of a coordination committee on Telangana.
When asked if he was attending Dr Nagam’s meeting, he said that he was unable to attend the meeting, due to personal reasons. However, he asserted that there were no restrictions from the party on any one wishing to attend the meeting.
The TDP MLAs belonging to the Telangana region on Monday met at the residence of Mr Dayakara Rao, to discuss about the meeting organized by Dr Nagam. The MLAs, Mr Motkupalli Narasimhulu, Mr Gampa Govardhan, Mr Gangula Kamalakar, Mr K S Ratnam, Mr Prakash Goud and the MLC, Mr Narender Goud, attended the meeting. They have reportedly discussed about the meeting of Dr Nagam and the consequences there off. The MLAs have later met the party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Mr Dayakara Rao later told the media that they have asked the party chief to appoint a coordination committee on Telangana and he had accepted their suggestion.
