The Telangana Nagara Samithi (TNS) will organize a ‘Telangana Bharosa Yatra’ in all the districts of Telangana from November 26 to December 6. The objective of the Yatra was to create confidence among the sensitive youth and invite them to play a key role in the movement, instead of committing suicides for the sake of separate State.
Speaking to the media here, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, convener and president of TNS, appealed to all Telangana leaders to remain united and intensify the movement for separate Telangana instead of looking at the Centre decision. He said that his Yatra would start from Achampet in Mahbubnagar district on November 26. In this connection, Dr Nagam invited Telangana artistes and people’s organizations to take part in the yatra.
Pointing out that when Savita died inIreland, that government as well as the entire world reacted to the incident, Dr Nagam lamented that when more than 1,000 youths died in the Telangana region for the sake of separate State, there was no discussion on the subject in Parliament. He strongly felt thatTelanganaStatecannot be achieved by votes and seats but could be wrested by intensified struggle. Keeping this in view, all political leaders of the region should keep aside their party affiliations and unitedly fight for their goal of State bifurcation, he added. (NSS)
