Hyderabad, Feb.9 (NSS): Congress MLA and co-brother of the TDP chief Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that Mr. Naidu has sold party tickets for the Rajya Sabha seats for Rs. 20 crores each and with that money had launched a T V Channel.
In an open letter addressed to the media, Mr. Venkateswara Rao, husband of union minister Ms. Purandareswari (whose sister Ms. Bhuvaneswari is the wife of Mr. Naidu) has said Mr. Naidu had no right to come to his constituency (Parchur) and criticize his party chief Ms. Sonia Gandhi.
Mr. Venkateswara Rao who was also a leader of the TDP and played an important role in the party, has alleged that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was the fountain head of all corruption. He said during the election, Naidu had collected crores of rupees from ticket seekers. Even in the recent past, he has sold the Rajya Sabha tickets and with that money set up his TV channel. Mr. Venkateswara Rao has said Naidu had no right to talk about corruption.
Dr. Venkateswara Rao has said that Mr. Naidu had collected money from the contractors of the Sri Ram Sagar project and was reprimanded by late N T Rama Rao who was the Chief Minister then. He was also in the habit of collecting money from party leaders during NTR regime, he added.
Dr. Rao has alleged that during the 2009 elections, Naidu had transported black money intended for election manipulations in a helicopter. Reminding that Mr. Naidu had allotted thousand acres of land illegally to IMG and was also responsible for the EMAR scam, Dr. Rao said Mr. Naidu had no right to talk about corruption and much less about Ms. Sonia Gandhi, as he was himself the epitome of corruption.
