Hyderabad: The State CPI secretary, Dr K Narayana, has welcomed the statement of the Transport Minister, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, admitting before mediapersons that the State government had failed to perform its duties in the Kakarapalle issue.
Hailing the minister for openly admitting the government’s failure in Kakarapalle incident, the CPI leader urged the former to initiate appropriate steps to help the Kakarapalle victims. He also urged Mr Satyanarayana to bring pressure on the State government to take action against the police officials who behaved in an inhuman manner towards the victims. Alleging that false cases were booked against the innocent villagers, the CPI leader urged the minister to ensure withdrawal of criminal cases foisted against them. (NSS)
