Hyderabad: The CPI (M-L) New Democracy State committee has called upon the people of Hyderabad to participate in the “Patnam Roadlapai Vantalondukundam” (let’s cook food on city roads) programme organized by the Telangana Political JAC on June 19 from 9 am to 3 pm to exert pressure on the Union government to introduce Telangana Bill in the ensuing winter session of Parliament.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, the CPI(ML) State Committee member, Mr K. Govardhan, demanded that the elected representatives from the Congress and Telugu Desam parties honorably resign from their posts and fight for separate Telangana State. He felt that Telangna State could be achieved through agitation only but not by appeals and setting deadlines to the Centre. He has alleged that the Congress and TDP were colluded with each other to put cold water on Telangana agitation. He also felt that the Congress party would lose its base in the region if the Centre failed to declare Telangana State at the earliest.

He appealed to the citizens to participate in large numbers in the “Vanta Varpu” agitation and fight till Telangana State was conceded by the Union government.

The party leaders, Mr P. Suryam and Mr S. Venkateswara Rao, were also present.
