Hyderabad: The Great Grand-daughter of the Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab Sir Mir Osaman Ali Khan, Princess Shafiya Sakina has demanded a probe by the Central government through the Enforcement Directorate into the assets of Prince Mukkaram Jah, Prince Muffakam Jah and Princess Esra Birgin and all those who claimed to be owners of the several Malls, Villas and Hotels and Marriage Function Halls which she said were built on the Nizam’s properties.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, She said that the scope of the investigation should also include also those politicians and officials who abetted in giving permissions to such “illegal occupants and grabbers” when ex-officio secretary, Ministry of Finance, Union Government was the chairman of the Trusts. She also said that the State Chief Minister should also order a probe into the annexation of these assets, which she said belonged to her.
Mr. P. Venkata Ramana, Advocate said that the Union Government promised the Nizam of being the custodian and Guardian of his issues and beneficiaries of the trust –deeds. But the turn of events in the past few decades has a different tale to tell, he added.
He said though the City Civil Court had ordered re-constitution of the Nizam Trust with retired Judges, IAS and IPS officials on June 21, 1999, the government had failed to constitute it so far. He has alleged that the exiting Trust members had colluded with political and officials to annex Nizam’s asset’s to ineligible persons. Erstwhile pickpockets and street-fighters have now become industrialists, hoteliers, educationists and real estate barons thanks to the duplicity of her uncles and complicity of the Trustees with anti-social elements with vested interests.
He said that Supreme Court had passed strictures against them but the status quo prevailed. So much has been the deprivation, fraud and jaw-dropping treachery committed by her uncles- Muffakkam Jah and Mukkaram Jah and his divorced wife, Esra against Princess Shafiya Sakina, he alleged.
