Hyderabad: Refuting the charges of the TDP Chief, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, against the Congress in the ongoing Mahanadu, the AICC secretary, Mr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, and PCC official spokesperson and MLA, Mr Mastan Vali, have alleged that the Mahanadu has become a ‘Sweeya Nayakathwa Parirakshana Mahanadu’ of Mr Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to the media at CLP office on Friday, Mr Ponguleti said that Mr Naidu was talking without clarity on the Telangana issue. He alleged that Mr Naidu was using the Mahanadu dais to criticize the Congress and to answer to the questions of YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He described the attack on the Osmania University students, who demanded Mr Chandrababu Naidu to reveal his party’s stand on Telangana issue at Mahanadu, by the TDP activists as unfortunate. Alleging that the TRS was behaving in such a way that no other political party should exist in the region, he asked the TRS to maintain restraint. He reiterated that the Congress party would concede the demand of Telangana soon.

The AICC secretary said that he and other leaders of the party would launch ‘SEZs Land Owning Farmers’ Rights Protection Yatra’ in East Godavari, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts from May 30 to June 3. He would address a letter to the AICC Chief, Ms Sonia Gandhi, regarding this issue.

Dubbing the ongoing Mahanadu as ‘Abadratha Mahanadu’, Mr Masthan Vali criticized Mr Chandrababu Naidu for alleging that the Congress was deceiving the Minorities. He said that the Congress party alone has provided four percent reservations in the State. He also said that the Congress was the only party protects the SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities. He dared Mr Chandrababu Naidu to move a no-confidence motion if he had guts. (NSS)
