Hyderabad: Reiterating that there was no going back on resignations, the Telangana Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Dr K Keshava Rao has made it clear to the Chief Minister that the Telangana Public Representatives were ready for the ‘war’ if the latter was interested in it. He said that the Telangana Congress leaders would shortly organise a ‘Cycle Rally’ in Hyderabad demanding separate Telangana State.
The Telangana Congress Public Representatives have observed ‘Telangana Prardhana Deeksha’ at the Bapu Ghat here on Tuesday on the occasion of Quit India Day. Speaking on this occasion, Dr Keshava Rao has warned the Chief Minister that the consequences would be severe if the latter compared the Telangana Public Representatives who have not resigned their posts with Pandavas and those who resigned with Kouravas. He, however, said that he did not believe that the Chief Minister had compared this way. He said that the Telangana Congress leaders were following the foot steps of senior leaders.
Stating that invoking Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) against the Telangana Employees was not correct, he warned the government that they will not keep quite if it invoked the Act. He said that the present movement was not a Quit India movement, and the present government was not a British government, and it was not the time to invoke the ESMA against the employees. He opined that the Telangana movement has not yet turned as a ‘Quit Telangana’ movement. He advised the antagonists of Telangana state to raise Telangana slogan, and said that the Telangana Congress would welcome anybody if he takes up the Telangana movement. He said that the Telangana Congress leaders would stick to their stand on resignations.
