Puttaparti: The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, here on Sunday made it clear that his government would not interfere with the affairs of the Satya Sai Central Trust in any manner.
Speaking to the media on arrival at Puttaparti on learning Sri Satya Sai Baba’s passing away, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy announced that the government would not interfere with the working of the trust. The trust would run its affairs as usual. The trust members also assured to continue the service-oriented programmes as usual.
The Chief Minister said that the services of Sri Satya Sai Baba were unforgettable. “We all should follow the footsteps of the Baba in service and his teachings in life. The life of Satya Sai Baba was really a message to the world,” he opined. He also praised efforts of the Baba to ensure education and health services to the poor free of cost. The drinking water schemes taken up with his financial help have quenched thirst of people several areas, he reminded.
The remarks made by the Chief Minister have significance when there were rumors that the government would take over the trust after Satya Sai Baba’s death. (NSS)
