Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party politburo member, Mr Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, on Thursday reiterated that there was no need for his party to disclose its stand once again on the separate Telangana issue.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Ramakrishnudu reminded that his party’s State convention had passed a resolution on Telangana issue leaving the decision to the discretion of the Union government. Stating that his party was committed to its resolution on the Telangana issue, the former Speaker said there was no need for others to ask it to disclose its stand every day.

Holding the Congress-led UPA government alone responsible for the Telangana State movement, Mr Yanamala said that the Centre alone has the responsibility to solve the crisis. He also made it clear that his party was totally opposed to creation of new capitals, joint capital and two capitals as proposed by some Congress leaders. He also observed that the Union government was deliberately dragging the Telangana issue in the name of consultations. He demanded that the Union government solve the issue without wasting time.

Pointing out to the statements of Telangana leaders that they have sacrificed many a thing every day, the TDP leader said they had sacrificed their capital and High Court for the sake of the State. All have made sacrifices for the State, he added.
