Hyderabad: Former Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas on Wednesday claimed that the resignation of 26 pro-Jagan Congress MLAs do not pose any threat to the continuance of Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in the State.
Talking to reporters at Congress Legislature Party office, Srinivas said that the resignations would in no way destabilise the government as the Congress still enjoyed the magic numbers to stay in power. Denying allegations that the Congress was indulging in revenge politics, he said the ongoing CBI probe should not be linked to the State Government.
The former PCC president refused to comment anything on Emaar properties saying that the matter was sub-judice as the CBI had already started investigating into the matter. He said the CBI investigation was going on following the directives of AP High Court and they are in no way linked to the state or central government. (INN)
