One held with three deer skins

Hyderabad: Saidabad police on Monday claimed that it had arrested one person on Sunday on charges of possessing three deer skins and trying to sell the same.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as one Richard Antony, a recovery agent of ICICI Bank and a resident of Vinaynagar Colony, Saidabad.

The police stated that Sub-Inspector NS Ashok Kumar was tipped off about the deer skins during patrolling in view of Vanta Vaarpu on Sunday. The SI duly informed the Inspector and a team immediately raided Antony’s resident where the accused was caught along with the three deer skins.

Subsequently a case under the relevant sections of the Wildlife Protection Act was registered against Antony.

The seized deer skins were shifted to the Forest Department’s Anti Poaching Squad, Hyderabad.(INN)
