Hyderabad: The State government has been taking all measures to foil the Telangana Political JAC called ‘Million March’ on March 10. As part of security measures, the Hyderabad Task Force police have arrested the Osmania University student and Student JAC Chairman, Mr Pidamarthy Ravi, at Bagh Lingampally on Sunday. The police were also trying to arrest some more OU JAC leaders.

The police also took 10 students, who were coming to Hyderabad as a rally on cycles from Karimnagar, into custody at Chigurumamidi village.

Condemning the arrest of Mr Pidamarthi Ravi by the police, the Osmania University student JAC and Political JAC convener, Prof. M Kodandaram, demanded that the State government release the students leader immediately. “It was unfortunate that the government has begun rounding up the leaders even before four days of the ‘Million March’.
