Hyderabad: Stating that the Telangana Congress leaders, who were holding discussions with the State Congress Affairs in-charge, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, have no thorough knowledge about the background of the Telangana movement, the Telangana Congress senior leader, Mr Palvai Govardhan Reddy, has alleged that he has no confidence in sincerity of some leaders towards Telangana cause as they were staunch followers of late Dr YSR.

Speaking to the media on the Assembly premises here on Thursday, Mr Palvai said the leaders, who were participating in discussions with Mr Azad have to consult the seniors to know the facts because they don’t know about the movement, violation of agreements and so on. He opined that the Telangana Congress public representatives have to tender their resignations once again if they wanted to go to the people.

Lashing out at the Eluru MP, Mr Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, for his objectionable statement, he said that Mr Rao joined the list of the Vijayawada MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal and the Minor Irrigation Minister, Mr T G Venkatesh as they speak nonsense. He urged Mr Sambasiva Rao not to make provocative statements at this juncture as Mr Azad was trying to create a good atmosphere with his discussions.

Asking the Seemandhra leaders how the Telangana people could live together with the Seemandhra people as Seemandhra leaders deceived the Telangana by violating all agreements, Mr Palvai alleged that the Seemandhra people looted water, violated Gentlemen’s Agreement, Fazal Ali Commission recommendations and so on.

Stating that Mr Azad was trying to understand the problem by holding discussions with the leaders from both the regions, he said one has to cooperate with him and wait what happens. He said the people and leaders from Telangana region were demanding only separate State. He appealed to the Seemandhra leaders not to make provocative statements.
