Hyderabad: Cautioning the voters in Kadapa district that they would become orphans if they chose to cast votes to the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the PCC has appealed to the electorate in Kadapa to exercise their franchise in favour of the Congress candidates, Dr D L Ravindra Reddy and Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy, for better future and good leadership.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday along with Ms N Padmaja Reddy, the PCC official spokesperson, Mr K Mrithyunjayam Goud, said that late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s wife, Ms Vijayamma would be a mute statue if she was elected to the Assembly again. He pointed out that Ms Vijayamma did nothing for the people of Pulivendula even though she was elected unanimously after the demise of Dr YSR. Even Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy did nothing to the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency, he added.

Mr Mrithyunjayam said that Mr Jagan had misused power and became the richest MP in the country within two years as proved by his affidavit filed before the Election Commission. He asked Mr Jagan whether he spent even one per cent of his earnings for development of his constituency. He also asked Mr Jagan in what way the AICC Chief, Ms Sonia Gandhi rendered injustice to him. Asserting that no other family had got plum posts in the government like Mr Jagan’s family, he said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy left the mother-like Congress party in a huff when the party accommodated his uncle Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy in the State cabinet.

He also alleged that Mr Jagan entered politics only for his selfish ends but not to serve the people and development of his constituency. He also said that the Kadapa people have realized the truth and were preparing to cast their votes to the Congress candidates. (NSS)
