Hyderabad: Refuting the YSR Congress Party Chief Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s criticism against the Congress, the PCC made it clear that Mr Jagan would realize the reality on May 13, as the Kadapa voters would ensure his defeat, casting their vote against him in the present by-elections.
Speaking to the media here at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday along with other official spokespersons Mr Paladugu Venkat Rao, Mr Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and Ms N Padmaja Reddy, Mr Thulasi Reddy said that Mr Jagan appealing to the sentiment in the Kadapa by-elections was not correct on his part.
Dubbing Mr Jagan’s sentiment as ‘Suedo-Sentiment’, Mr Thulasi Reddy said that the real sentiment belongs to Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy. Finding fault with the argument of Mr Jagan that the Congress Party selected Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy against YSR’s widow Ms Vijayamma, who was like mother to him, Mr Thulasi Reddy said that it was not correct to Mr Jagan to select his mother Ms Vijayamma as his party candidate in Pulivendula Assembly constituency against Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy, who was like son to her. He said, “it was not correct to the mother to contest against a son”. He said that Mr Vivekananda Reddy was in politics for the last 35 years extending full support to the late Dr YSR. It was not correct for Mr Jagan to leave the Congress Party and to float a new Party, just for giving minister post to his uncle Mr Vivekananda Reddy. He said that Mr Jagan has plans of becoming the Chief Minister and hence he left the Party. He said that Mr Vivekananda Reddy was a senior leader and Mr Jagan was a sub-junior leader in the Congress Party. He asked Mr Jagan whether giving a minister post to Mr Vivekananda Reddy amounts to dividing Mr Jagan’s family, and giving Chief Minister post to Mr Jagan was uniting the family with fevical.
Mr Venkata Rao said that he was extending his full support to the Rajamundry MP Mr Undavalli Arun Kumar’s criticism against the Sakshi Channel. He said, “I support Mr Undavalli Arun Kumar in toto”. He said that it was not correct to the politicians to try to derive benefit by indulging in mudslinging against others. (NSS)
