TDP MLAs Praveen Kumar Reddy and Amaranatha Reddy have said that the people of Andhra Pradesh have long back expelled the TDP. They said the entire state was now with the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Amaranath Reddy who represents the Palamaneru constituency in Chittoor district and Praveen Kumar Reddy who represents Tamballapalli in the same district have already announced their decision to leave the TDP and join the YSR Congress. The two have met the party’s honorary president Y S Vijayamma in her Lotus Pond residence here on Sunday. They have discussed about the formalities of their joining the party. They have invited Vijayamma to visit their constituencies.
Speaking to the media later, the MLAs said they would soon be organizing public meetings in their constituencies. They have dismissed TDP’s announcement of their expulsion from the party as a matter of no consequence and said people had already expelled the TDP. They have alleged that the Congress and TDP had colluded to harass Jaganmohan Reddy. Alleging that the Congress government headed by Kiran Kumar Reddy had failed in all fronts, they have questioned Chandrababu Naidu why he was shirking from his responsibility of moving a no-confidence motion against the government.(NSS)
