PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana has said that people’s welfare was the only agenda of the Congress party. He said the government was making efforts to implement every single promise made in the party’s election manifesto. He said the government has spent Rs. 3,200 crore on the Handri- Niva project. Stating that the government was ready to make amends for any mistakes committed, Botsa said the opposition parties were making allegations only due to their hunger for power.
ADVICE TO SHARMILA
Botsa has advised the YSR Congress leader Sharmila not to talk like a child. He has faulted her for stating that minister Raghuveera Reddy was claiming credit for the Handri – Niva project which became a reality because of her father. Stating that she should know facts before speaking, Botsa said the government’s projects belonged to no one in particular. Stating that he too had respect for the late Rajasekhara Reddy, Botsa said any one in power in Congress would work only for people’s welfare.
Stating that the government had spent Rs. 3,641 crore, Botsa said he was not stating this to give explanation to any one. He said he was straightening facts only to tell the people that the government was for their welfare. He has alleged that the pada yatras of both the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Sharmila were only for power and not for public welfare. Contrary to these, minister Raghuveera’s yatra was to take the government schemes to the doorsteps of the people, Botsa said. He said Congress would spurn the allegations of Opposition parties effectively.(NSS)
