Hyderabad: The police on Monday morning foiled the attempt by the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi activists to lay seize to the State Assembly here.
The MRPS activists made an abortive effort to lay seize to the State Assembly while its Sitting was going on. They demanded the Centre to introduce a Bill in the parliament on the SC categorisation issue. Raising slogans against the State government and the Chief Minister, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, they said that he should take initiative to impress upon the Centre to table a Bill in the parliament in this regard.
The police present there had thwarted their attempt and arrested several activists among them. The arrested activists were shifted to the police station. (NSS)
