Hyderabad: Zahirabad MP Suresh Kumar Shetkar on Thursday took serious objection to Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar’s words that the Congress would be looked as the ‘prime accused’ in the event the Centre fails to announce Telangana.
Talking to media persons on Assembly Premises, the MP said that Mr Prabhakar’s comments against the Congress High Command would send wrong signals and divert the attention from the issue.
“When the High Command is discussing the ways and means to address the issue, these types of statements would send a wrong message to the people and disturb the consultation process,” the Zahirabad MP said.
He expressed confidence that the High Command would take a favourable decision soon on the issue after consulting concerned parties.
Mr Shetkar added that the mass resignations have forced the High Command to initiate process of talks with all party leaders to find an acceptable solution.(INN)
