Hyderabad: The Congress MP from Karimnagar, Mr Ponnam Prabhakar, has demanded that the Telugu Desam Party president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, write a letter to the Union Home Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, proclaiming support for separate Telangana and they would take full responsibility for carving out of separate Telangana State.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Mr Prabhakar charged the TDP leaders with organising “TDP Ranabheri” with an intention to heap criticism on the defiant TDP senior leader, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy. He felt that there would be no use of the TDP holding any number of meetings in the region without Mr Chandrababu Naidu, in his capacity as leader of Opposition, writing a clear letter to the Union Home Minister extending support to formation of separate Telangana State.
Reiterating that Congress leaders would bring about separate Telangana State, Mr Prabhakar said that a letter from Mr Chandrababu Naidu favouring separate Telangana State would hasten the process for carving out of separate State. He also asserted that there was no link between State bifurcation and constitution of second States Reorganisation Commission.
