Hyderabad: Alleging threat to his life from five persons, who were conspiring to snatch away the premises measuring in 524 yards at the R P Road, which was held by him, Mr Sugan Chand Khan, has pleaded security from them. He also requested for fitting punishment for the culprits.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Mr Sugan Chand Khan said that he holds the said premises at R P Road, where the famous Monda Market locates, which he got bequeathed from his maternal uncle. On this premises five merchants, i.e Mr Madhava Rao, Mr Pandu (Satyanarayana Electrical Works), Mr Prem (Subhash General Store), Mr Ashish (Sri Aluminium) and Mr Aryan Trivedi (Royal Corporation) run their business establishments. He said that they have been conspiring to usurp the premises by stating that they were the actual owners of it.
Mr Sugan Khan said that since he did not bow down to their threats, they hired five gundas, and got him indiscriminately beaten up by them. This apart, the gundas even entered his residence and damaged the domestic equipment. They even threatened to kill him as well as Ms Shaheen Begum, another tenant, who stands by him in the face of torture from them.
He also noted that the five tenants even approached the Supreme Court claiming rights over the said 524 yards premises. But the court ruled in his favour in 2010. In this aftermath, he said that he has received threats from them. Hence, he lodged a complaint with the Mahankali Police Station, Secunderabad. This apart, he has submitted representations to the State Principal Secretary, the Director General of Police, the Commissioner of Police, the Home Minister, the Deputy Commissioner of Police from the North Zone, the Assistant Commissioner of Police and recently to the State Human Rights Commission on March 16.
Fearing threat to his life as well as to his family members, he has pleaded for security from them. Besides, he also urged for fitting punishment to the perpetrators of the offence. (NSS)
