Hyderabad, Feb.8 (NSS): The PCC Chief, Mr D. Srinivas, on Tuesday claimed that the Congress MLAs, who were aligning with the former MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, were in touch with him. He said that those MLAs, who stay away from the Congress party would face action at an appropriate time.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Srinivas said that action will be taken against the MLAs who were sailing with Mr Jagan. Some of the Congress MLAs were moving along with Mr Jagan because they have certain relations with him as the son of an important leader late Dr YSR.
Mr Srinivas said that Mr Chiranjeevi would get an important role in the Congress party and grow with it. “It is suspense, what role would be given to Mr Chiranjeevi. One has to wait and see”, he replied to a question. He said that the party would utilize his services in the State politics only. Mr Chiranjeevi’s services would be used in other States also if need arises. According to the situation, efficiency and requirement, he would be given a suitable post, he added.
The PCC chief said that the party high command would decide whether to induct Mr Chiranjeevi into the Cabinet or not. He also said that Mr Chiranjeevi has to complete some formalities on the merger issue and therefore the latter was organizing a meeting with his PRP MLAs to take necessary resolutions even though Mr Chiranjeevi had announced the merger in the presence of the Congress party State incharge, Mr Veerappa Moily.
Responding to a question on Mr Chiranjeevi’s allegations against late Dr YSR rule, Mr Srinivas said that the former would talk specifically on the issue at an appropriate time. (NSS)
