Hyderabad, Feb.7 (NSS): The Rachchabanda programme was held at 1,507 places throughout the State on Monday—-the 13th day: Andhra–602 places, Rayalaseema 254, Telangana 651 places. There were reports of minor disruptions at some places in Telangana only. Many beneficiaries received assets and other benefits at different places in the State today.
Already Rachchabanda programme has covered 18,098 villages/gram panchayats in Andhra 7,326; Rayalaseema 3,447 and Telangana 7,325. There were minor disruptions in a total of 94 places in Telangana. In all, till today, the programme was held in 19,605 places all over the State
The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, participated in the Rachchabanda programme at Machavarm village in Prakasam District today. Women in large numbers attended the programme and freely interacted with the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister later attended a public meeting at Govt. Degree College, Kanigiri. He also made on the spot sanctions for drinking water and other essential services in these places.
The Chief Minister later in the afternoon participated in Rachabanda Programme at Nizampatnam, Guntur District where he addressed a public meeting and distributed assets to the beneficiaries. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy will participate in Rachabanda Programme in Borabanda in City tomorrow (8-02-2011).
The total amount being sanctioned under various schemes in Prakasham District is Rs.108.92 crores. The schemes include Bank Linkage under DRDA and MEPMA, subsidy loans for SC Corporation, Indiramma Housing, Balika Sisukshema Beema Padakam, Kishora Shakti Yojana, Electrical Pump sets and farm mechanisation for Agriculture etc.
At Nizampatnam, Guntur, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Y.S.R. Zilla Parishad Guest House constructed at a cost of Rs.55 lakhs. He also laid the working stone for A.P. Social Welfare Residential School Complex at Nizampatnam to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.9.50 crores. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy laid stone for CPWS scheme to Repalle and Nizampatnam Mandal Villages in Repalle Assembly Constituency at Adavuladeevi village to be constructed at a cost of Rs.6.00 crores.
The Chief Minister distributed assets worth Rs.241 lakhs at Nizampatnam Rachchabanda. These include Pavala vaddi for 167 SHGs, Bank linkage for 91 SHGs, Social Security Pensions to 39 people and Dr.YSR Abhayahastham bonds for 44 women. He also distributed SHG Bank Linkage for 6124 SHGs , 1211 MEPMA Groups and loans to flood-affected victims of Repalle Town under Urban Self Employment Programme MEPMA to 300 people at the Public Meeting there.
