Hyderabad, February 6: The Staff Selection Committee would recruit around 55,200 constables for Central Paramilitary Forces, for the first time. Hitherto, the respective CPUs used to make recruitment of constables (GD) on their own.
Informing this here, Mr N K Raghupathy, Chairman, Staff Selection Committee, said that of the total vacancies, around 6,609 are to be filled in Andhra Pradesh alone. There will b 20 percent reservation of vacancies for border areas and another 20 per cent for naxal and militant affected areas.
Sixteen district in A P have been classified as naxal affected areas. Candidates who have domicile in these districts would be eligible for the reservation. Any matriculate between the age group of 18 – 23 years is eligible for the posts. A three year age relaxation will be given for OBC candidates and five year relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Selected candidates will have to undergo a physical test.
