Union Minister Kishore Chandra Deo seemed to have exploded a letter bomb targeting both the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and APCC President Botcha Satyanarayana by terming them as “inefficient and incompetent”, and demanding their replacement forthwith, to save the Congress in the State.
A political tsunami of sorts was triggered off in the State Congress over the purported 11-page report submitted recently by the Union Minister to AICC President Sonia Gandhi, the contents of which were reportedly leaked by a national daily on Monday.
Scores of media persons literally mobbed the PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana at Gandhi Bhavan this morning soon after the function organized in connection with the birth anniversary of late Indira Gandhi, and sough his reactions about the purported letter of the Union Minister to the AICC President.
A visibly upset and irritated PCC Chief, though refused to comment on the reported letter, expressed utter surprise and did not believe that Mr. Kishore Chandra Deo would have written a letter against him. Incidentally the Union Minister also hails from Vizianagaram district, as the PCC President.
Mr. Satyanarayana charged that concerted efforts were being made by some vested interests and his political detractors to tarnish his image. While claiming that the purported letter might be the figment of imagination of some vested interests, he however declared that he would begin legal proceedings against the newspaper and file a defamation suit.
In his letter Mr. Kishore Chandra Deo reportedly lambasted both the Chief Minister and the PCC President using strong words and suggested for replacing both of them by leaders from the Telangana region. He reportedly described Mr. Kiran Reddy of suffering from inferiority complex and hence was not able to control his erring and defying ministers. He reportedly described the PCC Chief as a “liquor mafia don” and accused him of failing to handle the party affairs competently. (NSS)
