Hyderabad: Baladeer and president of Telangana Praja Front Gadar on Saturday demanded that the legislators from Telangana regions must submit their resignations demanding creation of separate Telangana state.
Speaking at the Meet-the-Press program organized by Telangana Journalists forum at Press Club Somajiguda on Saturday, Gadar said resignations would certainly mount pressure on the Centre and it would be forced to take a clear stand on granting statehood for the region.
He also insisted that the political groups in the region should sink their differences and fight for statehood for Telangana unitedly. Affiliation to Telangana should be considered supreme compared to affiliation with the parties, flags or the agenda. He hoped that the proposed general strike from August 17 would prove to be a people’s movement for Telangana.
The Praja Front would organize a meeting on August 16th at Madina Centre, Nampally, to discuss the future course of Telangana agitation. Besides Political JAC, all political parties and groups will attend the meeting. (INN)
