Hyderabad: Recalling the services of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy to the state, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday stated that the welfare of the state was possible with the schemes and programmes launched by the late leader.
Talking to media persons after paying rich floral tributes to YSR portrait at Gandhi Bhavan to mark his 62nd birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that no one could forget Dr YSR after enjoying the fruits of benefits from the schemes launched by him.
“The only way a fitting tribute could be paid to Dr YSR would be to ensure the implementation of all the schemes launched by him in letter and spirit,” Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
The Chief Minister added that Dr YSR had expressed the desire to see AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister of the country.
“We have to fulfil his last dream,” Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy stated.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha recalled Dr YSR’s ability to face the hurdles during critical times.
Mr Rajanarasimha reminded that Dr YSR had dreamt of development of all regions of the state equally and made complete efforts for strengthening of the party in all regions.
Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana recalled YSR oft-repeated words of the necessity of being humble when someone attains higher positions in life.
Former chief minister K Rosaiah, former agriculture minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, former government advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao and many Ministers participated in the programme.(INN)
