Hyderabad: Taking a serious note on the statement of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram that the State Assembly has to pass a fresh resolution on the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders for placing Hyderabad in the Sixth Zone, the Lok Satta Party on Monday described Mr Chidambaram remark as most `irresponsible’.

Lok Satta Party official spokesman Katari Srinivasa Rao stated that Mr Chidambaram made this statement with an intention to continue `political unrest’ in the state.

The LSP leader questioned why Mr Chidambaram was seeking a fresh resolution a second time despite state Assembly passing it about 16 months ago.

He said that the deletion of Clause 14F will prevent injustice meted out to Telangana people and not cause damage to any region in the employment process.

Mr Srinivasa Rao further said that the Centre seeking a fresh resolution on the issue would create further problems.

He demanded that the state government mount pressure on the Centre for deletion of the controversial clause.(INN)
