Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, Mr A K Khan, on Sunday stated that they made elaborate bandobust arrangements for March 10 in order to maintain normal public life, to curb violence and intimidation and to prevent hardships to citizens, particularly the Intermediate, ICSE and CBSE students to write their exams without hindrance. If necessary, outside police forces will be deployed for the purpose, he added.

Stating that orders under Section 144 Cr.P.C restricting assembly of persons beyond four are promulgated in order to maintain peace and tranquility, he said that under various sections of Hyderabad City police Act, rallies, public meetings, dharnas, protest programmes without prior permission are strictly prohibited.

The citizens, particularly the students appearing for examination (ICSC/CBSE/Intermediate etc) and their parents are requested to take note of the situation as the traffic is likely to be severely disrupted and law and order problems are anticipated.

Students appearing for the examinations and their parents should make their travel plans accordingly. The students should take appropriate route to the examination centers as also plan to reach there in sufficient time well in advance as the exams will go on. (NSS)
