Hyderabad: The senior Congress leader, Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, has said all the Seemandhra leaders Congress Party want status-quo to be maintained and the State should not be bifurcated under the pressure of Telangana agitation.
Speaking to the media at Assembly premises here on Sunday, Mr Diwakar Reddy said that a delegation of some 50 to 60 Seemandhra leaders would go to Delhi and plead with the Congress high command not to bifurcate the State under any circumstances. The Seemandhra leaders would stay in the national capital for three days from July 18.
Replying to a query on the YSR Congress Party Chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statement on Telangana issue, Mr Reddy said that Mr Jagan has proved to be a true politician. He said that Mr Jagan has adopted “Cat on the wall’ attitude on the Telangana issue by not disclosing his clear stand.
