Hyderabad: Taking serious exception to the Telangana leaders finding fault with the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee report, the Seemandhra TDP MLAs have demanded that the former target the Centre, which had appointed the Committee. They also made it clear that they were ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of United Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at the Assembly media point on Friday, the TDP MLAs, Mr Linga Reddy and Mr Palle Raghunatha Reddy, said that it was not justifiable to the Telangana protagonists to target the TDP instead of the Congress, which had appointed the Justice Srikrishna Committee.

Refuting the charges levelled by Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s MLAs, Mr Linga Reddy alleged that Mr Jagan spent Rs 12 lakh for each vote in the just-concluded MLC elections. He said that the party had won two MLC seats as bonus in the elections though it has no such strength.

Alleging that the Chief Minister, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, has no moral right to rule the State, Mr Raghunatha Reddy demanded that the former submit his resignation honorably owning moral responsibility for the Congress defeat in the Local Body MLC elections. He said that the TDP Chief, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, was the only person who has all qualities to rule the State. (NSS)
