Hyderabad: Alleging that induction of the Malkajgiri MP, Mr Surve Satyanarayana, into the Union Cabinet would amounts to endorsing his corrupt practices, the Handlooms and Textiles Minister, Dr P, Shankar Rao, said that the former uses blackmail tactics to serve his purposes.
Speaking to mediapersons at the CLP office here on Wednesday, Dr Shankar Rao said that Mr Surve was a caste monster and was not a real Congress man. He said that Mr Surve was not loyal to the Nehru-Gandhi family either and has no right to criticize the Congress party. Dubbing Mr Surve as a “third class” person and a rank opportunist, the minister said that the ‘Mala’ community was sailing with the Congress party for decades.
Responding to a query, Dr Shankar Rao said that the Chief Minister, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, has discretionary powers to reshuffle the Cabinet and induct those whom he wanted.
