Hyderabad: Minister for Handlooms and Textiles P Shankar Rao on Wednesday stated that he would lodge a complaint with the Congress High Command against Congress MP from Malkajgiri Sarvey Satyanarayana, following his ‘tiff’ with the MP during the inauguration of Government High School building, Trishul Park in Bollarum on Tuesday.
Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, Dr Shankar Rao said that he would appeal the High Command to initiate action against Mr Satyanarayana for not following protocol.
He also alleged that the MP stooped to the level of a ‘third-class’ person and was resorting to blackmailing tactics against officials for failing to observe protocol.
Dr Shankar Rao also warned that he would reveal details about the MP’s involvement in corrupt practices and enlighten the High Command about his ‘history’, when he files his complaint.
The Minister also reminded that the MP had switched loyalties and joined the Congress party in 2004, seeing a rosy future in the party. “I am a loyal Congress worker and have not switched loyalties like the MP,” he stated.
When asked to comment about reports that he would be dropped from the Cabinet, Dr Shankar Rao said that accommodation of Ministers was the prerogative of the Chief Minister. “It is the prerogative of Chief Minister whether to accommodate or drop the Ministers,” he said. (INN)
