Hyderabad: Former Congress Minister J C Diwakar Reddy on Sunday ,speaking to media in Assembly premises, stated that he has proposed sharing of power between Seemandra and Telangana regions only with an intention to end political uncertainty in the state.
Mr Diwakar Reddy said that he has proposed this sharing of power formula not to hurt the sentiments of peoples of either region.
Responding on Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana taking serious exception on his statement, Mr Diwakar reddy said that he would place this proposal before the Congress high command.
As part of his suggestion for sharing the power, he said the Chief Minister post should be given three years for Seemandra region and remaining two years for Telangana region. As he hoped that this proposal would reduce Telangana agitation to some more extent.
Stating that the Telangana Congress leaders submitted their resignations in a hasty manner and due to pressure mounted on them by other party Telangana leaders, he said that the people of region would backlash if they withdraw resignations now.
And there was no guarantee for the re-election of resigned leaders as promised by the Telangana Political Joint Action committee.
He further alleged that the agitation was launched eyeing on posts, he said that people join politics only to come to power.
Even the two times MLA and Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr Botsa Satyanarayana was also aspiring to become the Chief Minister of the state.
The state capital Hyderabad was not a problem, he said the sharing of river waters between Seemandra and Telangana would pose a major threat.
J C Diwakar Reddy said that all Seemandra leaders will present their views before the high command and oppose division of the state on July 18th.(INN)
