Hyderabad: Sheikh Abdul Rahman Zuhair Al-Din Al-Jilani, descendant of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani, whose shrine in Baghdad is one of the most sacred places of Islamic world, will be visiting India for first time from April 24 to May 13.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday, Prince Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy, great grandson of last Moghal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, said that Sheik Jilani would be staying in the city from April 24 to 29. The devotees of the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Filani in Baghdad, Iraq are held in high esteem by Muslims all over the world and therefore the visit of his descendant has created a religious fervour and gaiety not only among common Muslims but all religious leaders also. He would be visiting Banguluru from April 29 to May 2, Chennai from May 2 to May 6, Kochi from May 6 to 9 and Mumbai from May 9 to 13.
Prince Yakub Hebeebuddin Tucy is organizing a public meeting to be addressed by Sheikh Abdul Rahman Zuhair Al-Din Al-Jilani on April 26, with the cooperation of Quraanic Mission under the title of “Tajdar Baghdad Conference”. The meeting will be held at Idgah Bilali, Masab Tank will be presided over by the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president, Mr Asaduddin Owaisi, MP, Mr Syed Ali Pasha and Mr Syed Ziauddin Baghdadi will address the meeting. After the meeting, the devotees would get blessings of the religious leader and many would perform “Bait”. There will be a separate arrangement for ladies.
