Hyderabad: The senior TDP leaders and former ministers, Mr Kadiyam Srihari and Mr T. Devender Goud, have alleged that some political parties (possibly meaning the TRS) were trying to play politics over dead bodies.

Talking to the media here on Thursday, the two leaders said that some parties were trying to gain politically over the dead body of the Telangana champion, Prof. K. Jayashankar. They said that they could not have a last look of the great man as they did not want to get into a dispute with such parties.

Stating that Prof. Jayashankar belonged to every one, they lamented that some people were trying to project him as a political party leader. They said the TRS party was trying to show that the TDP was a traitor, to achieve its own selfish ends. They have alleged that a conspiracy was on to throw the blame on the TDP. They said their party was never against Telangana and it was clarified several times in the past.

The two TDP leaders have claimed that the Telangana region was developed only during their regime. Stating that while it was the Congress party that was to get or give the Telangana State, they said they did not understand why the TDP was being targeted.

Another senior leader, Mr. Yerrabelli Dayakara Rao and others also participated in the press conference. They also released a letter on behalf of the TDP Telangana Forum.
