Hyderabad, Feb.15 (NSS): The Legislative Affairs Minister Mr Sridhar Babu has appealed to the Assembly and Council Staff to cooperate with the government to run both the houses smoothly without participating in the proposed non-cooperation movement of the Employees Unions of Telangana region demanding separate Telangana. He said that the budget session was a very important one and employees know very well its importance.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Tuesday along with the Government Chief Whip Mr Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and MLC Rudraraju Padmaraju, Mr Sridhar Babu said that he would speak to the Congress MLAs and MLC who were supporting the non-cooperation movement to participate in the Assembly budget session.
Expecting positive decision from the Centre, he said that the Telangana issue was under the purview of the Union Government and not under the State government. Urging all the political parties to cooperate with the government to run the session smoothly, he said that the Assembly was the platform for public representatives to bring public issues to the notice of government.
Responding to a query, the minister said that every one knows as to who had gone back on the December 9, 2009 announcement of the Union Home Minister. The Justice Srikrishna Committee suggested six options on Telangana issue; he said and added that the Centre would take a positive decision on it.
On TRS’s no-confidence motion, Mr Sridhar Babu said that technically TRS has no strength to move the motion and it was not correct to imagine that something would happen.
Responding to another question, Mr Sridhar Babu said that fees-reimbursement scheme was introduced by the Congress government and it will implement the scheme at any cost facing any sort of economic hurdles to ensure that the future of the students was not affected. (NSS)
